As an Accountant/CPA and former Business Broker, John began his career as an accountant with the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation as well as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation performing the accounting function on foreclosed banking institutions throughout their closing, and liquidation. From there John went on to build a diverse accounting background within airline, financial, and manufacturing industries including private and publicly held companies building a framework of knowledge for various aspects of accounting analysis that includes plant operations; aircraft capital, operating, and facility bond leases; as well as financial institution foreclosure and liquidation.
John’s experience includes month end close; financial reporting; budgeting and forecasting; budget and forecast to actual variance analysis and reporting; trend analysis; G/L analysis, maintenance, and reconciliation; A/P-A/R; time and billing; case accounting; JE and invoice coding; vendor statement reconciliations; Sarbanes Oxley (SOX); lease agreement FASB 13; fixed asset, and depreciation maintenance; bookkeeping; Individual, Corporate, and Sales & Use Tax preparation and filing; ad-hoc reporting; ORE/REO property management review; as well as ongoing financial awareness, support, and development of a company’s internal organization and structure.
